We accept submissions of adult fiction and literary non-fiction.

Our inbox is open for submissions in the months of January and July only. Submissions made at other times will not be considered.

When making a submission, please follow the guidelines below.

Fiction

 

Please send us an email with:

  • a brief letter explaining what your work is about, and how or why you have come to write it, plus

  • 50 pages of your work in Word format (less, if the whole work is less).

If we want to see more of your work, we will get in touch to request the full manuscript.

Please note that we do not consider:

  • genre fiction (science fiction, fantasy, romance)

  • children’s books

  • submissions from illustrators.

Non-fiction

 

Please send us an email with:

  • a brief letter explaining your concept, plus

  • a book proposal that includes

    • a project outline

    • proposed chapter summary

    • a list of any comparable titles

    • a sample chapter / essay (in Word format)

Please note whether you have already completed the project.

We do not consider submissions of self-help books, with a narrow exception for works by professionals in the field.

Neither?

 

We are interested in genre-busting work. If your writing doesn’t fit the above categories, send us a brief email and we can discuss the best way to submit your work.
